I wrote this step-by-step guide with artists and craftspeople in mind - a way for creative people to learn a new medium in their own space. I know from my teaching experience, too, that it serves well as a text for beginning screenprinting classes. Color photographs illustrate each step and many reproductions of screenprints by major artists are included. The book also has guidelines for setting up an inexpensive exposure unit for burning photo-emulsion stencils, like the exposure unit I've been using successfully in my studio for years.
My creative enthusiasms as a practicing artist are focused on paper. I work in many media, including screenprinting, intaglio, collage, and creating mixed media works with drawing, painting and hand printing. These days, I am interested in 3D, installation and artist books as well.
